Workspace Design and Build was instructed to complete a CAT B fit out at this purpose-built office building in Booths Park Knutsford, for client Portswigger.
Spread over two phases, the focus for the first was to create an enjoyable working environment for the staff, which includes tea points, phone booths, canteen, yoga studio and meeting rooms. This was achieved in 16 weeks, by establishing close work relationships with all of the sub-contractors and suppliers involved with the project. Main works include the creation of free standing pods of various shapes and sizes, which were all acoustically wrapped to give a stunning appearance whilst giving high acoustic properties to maintain privacy for staff and visitors alike. We installed a full catering kitchen that would not be out of place in any up market restaurants. The large break out area takes advantage of the bi folding doors to the perimeter which gives the staff the freedom to enjoy the external surroundings. We also installed several mini tea points throughout each floor, which are fitted with bean to coffee machines meaning that you are never far from a bespoke break out area.
This project is a truly unique design filled with colours, shapes and textures – from the use of timber to the inclusion of bright walls and furniture to boost your mood. This playful, colourful space was designed by Sheila Bird Group and there’s plenty more where this came from with Phase 2 around the corner.
