Challenges:
Transforming an existing two-storey mixed-use building into a modern, multifunctional workplace while creating dedicated exhibition and training facilities. The project also involved significant structural and external works, including new footings, drainage, steelwork, a new butterfly roof and full timber cladding, alongside comprehensive internal and M&E upgrades.
Result:
A modern, purpose-built workplace and exhibition environment with timber at the heart of the design. The completed refurbishment combines functional office, exhibition and training spaces with bespoke joinery, a new roof terrace and a striking sweet chestnut timber-clad exterior, reflecting Sykes Timber’s long-standing connection to and commitment to the timber industry.
