This year long refurbishment project saw the strip out and demolition of the whole ground & upper ground level to create a new hub for businesses.
111 Piccadilly is one of Bruntwood’s Pioneer buildings and is set to become the first co-working space in the UK to achieve WELL Accreditation. Ways of achieving this include installing advanced lighting controls that will help to maintain a normal circadian rhythm, the body’s natural cycle of sleep and alertness. This will help to positively impact people’s mood and productivity by mimicking natural daylight and adjusting the environment throughout the day. To foster good mental health, there are acoustically designed and zoned areas, giving designated space for relaxing and focusing. Other notable elements of the project include the introduction of extensive biophilia throughout, the creation of ‘the gem’, and the external lighting on three full elevations of the building.
