Insights from the Trends Forecast Seminar

Last month, one of our designers, Josh attended the Trends Forecast Seminar by Scarlet Opus, hosted at the Flokk Studio and what an insightful morning it was. We are still thinking about the takeaways in our design a month on! The world of design is ever changing and the way in which designers see design will forever change and adapt with the vision of trends and the Natural World.

The ‘Paradox of the world’s change’ was made apparent through the trends, paving the way for the introduction of bright and playful colourings such as pinks, deep cobalt blues and orange. Demonstrating the vibrancy of the ‘Courage over comfort’ agenda. This mixed with the uncertainly of life’s ‘needs over wants’, introduced a ‘Natural Colouration’ of burnt oranges, toffee beiges and Sage greens to create a calming yet soothing atmosphere within the workplace. To counteract the worlds uncertainty, Bright Yellows played a part with the soothing textures of off white and clean textured patterns to spark a sense of ‘defiance and freedom’. The talk gave us such an exciting glimpse into what’s coming in 2026! Josh and the team are already eager to put these ideas into action over the next year and the talk has already inspired us to start crafting playful moodboards full of fresh inspiration.
