Candy Hoover

The key to success in this project was our collaborative approach with the original design team

The Brief

Leading global property consultants CBRE appointed Workspace Design and Build to develop and deliver the initial design for the Northern relocation of one of the world’s most prominent companies, Candy Hoover.
With a vibrant new office space located at Birchwood Park in the centre of the North West ‘hub’, it was essential to provide a suitable home for employees to reflect their branding and market strength. As such a recognisable brand, it was imperative this was part of the theme throughout the space.
Brand awareness was a key factor to the design and with a more traditional style of office layout, we had to tie the two together with a contemporary approach.

The Design

Working from the original European design brief, we worked alongside Standing Space to create a CAT B fitout for the UK Candy Hoover team.
With the landlord having already refurbished the property to CAT A standard, Workspace Design & Build developed an empty shell into a maze of glass corridors forming high spec, sound acoustic and modular offices with open collaborative working areas, hidden within the floorplate. High level branding was consistent throughout the design which highlighted the fact they are a household name.
CBRE lead the project from start to finish to ensure quality and programme was achieved in time for the January 2019 occupation. Once all the Italian furniture was in situ, the project really came to life which is testament to the collaboration between, designer, contractor, furniture supplier and project management team.
The finished article now provides a fitting home to a successful household name with over 74 years of history as a brand, all whilst being home to some great modern features to ensure the team have a workspace to be proud of.

A place to showcase

With a tangible product to market, Candy Hoover expressed the need for a dedicated space to showcase their products. The next step is to develop and create the adjacent space within the wider office.
