3 Hardman Street Reception

3 Hardman Street Reception

A stunning fit out in a central Manchester location featuring reception areas, lift lobbies, cycle hub, shower.

The Brief

Workspace Design and Build were appointed by Maple Tree the property owners to complete the refurbishment of several areas at 3 Hardman Street.
Working closely with Atul Bansal at Sheila Bird Group, the interior designer we chose on the project, we brought the designs to life by refurbishing two reception areas, lift lobbies and creating showers and a cycle hub.
As well as this, we created the impressive Maple Tree structure, working closely with Liam Hopkins at Lazerian and Atul to bring the vision to life. We are proud to have been a part of creating such an impressive structure.

Working closely with Atul and Liam, we implemented the 20 ft tree structure design in the entrance area of the West entrance at 3 Hardman Street. The key for this part of the project was to build something that would create impact, even from the street. This structure is completely unique to the building, and even Manchester we hope it creates the daily impact envisioned.
We also installed a bespoke coffee bar and bespoke seating booths for people to hold meetings outside of their usual working area. We worked closely with our sub-contractors to produce something completely unique to the project, and bespoke joinery items was the best way to achieve this.
To give the reception area a fresh and modern feel, we installed mirrored trees, a new reception desk, two separate seating areas, new flooring, along with a full redecoration and furniture package.

The East reception area required more areas for casual seating, so we create 4 booths, again bespoke joinery but this time fully built in.
The vision for this area of 3 Hardman Street was really to bring the vision of collaborating to life so in addition to the booths, we installed a laptop bar seating area for 4 people, 4 sofas, 2 seating areas for 4 people.
This was also a complete refurbishment with full decoration, flooring and furniture package, including a bespoke reception desk.
Feature ‘zig-zag’ lighting was also installed to create a modern feel and reflection on the glossy flooring.
We successfully completed both reception areas within budget.

Environmental Impact

Whilst completing the initial parts of the project, we were asked to complete extra works including the lift lobbies, cycle hub and showers. These instalments are all part of a movement to promote environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyles.
At Workspace we are constantly trying to improve our impact on the environment, recently with the implementation of our sustainability and procurement policy.
