Founded in 2004, DealTrak has since grown to become the UK’s leading Finance and Insurance platform in the UK motor and asset finance sector.

The Challenge

With a philosophy of “Simplify, Connect and Enhance”, the company has created hundreds of partnerships while continuously pursuing a vision that benefits all platform users. These include dealers, brokers, insurers and lenders.
The company, formerly known as Front Line Solutions, has recently refreshed their values as well as adopted a new name and logo. To facilitate this change, DealTrak wanted to relocate to the heart of Leeds’ tech hub.
OBI Property were the agents on the scheme and DealTrak needed a contractor that would make their relocation as smooth as possible while providing them with a collaborative space to coincide with the next phase of the business’ expansion plans.
Workspace Design & Build were therefore appointed by DealTrak on referral from OBI Property to carry out the fit-out of their new office in Leeds. OBI Property acted as project managers from start to finish.

The Brief

The main drive behind the project was to provide the 35 strong workforce who had relocated from their previous office in Wakefield with a space that is motivational, collaborative and flexible.
Workspace Design & Build was tasked with producing a complete Category A & B fit out of the former Google Building. The decision to move to the heart of Leeds’ thriving tech community was a no-brainer. With a new set of company values and a phenomenal new space, DealTrak are hoping to attract more talent and bolster their current workforce.

Our Solution

Workspace Design & Build worked efficiently and effectively to create an open plan office. A collaborative space has a number of advantages, including the ability for employees to engage freely with one another, and DealTrak wanted to harness these. The management team wanted members from different teams to have this opportunity to communicate often in order to promote innovation, productivity and workplace morale.
The open plan office includes three meeting rooms, each named after prominent figures within the tech industry. These include: Tim Berners Lee, Alan Turing OBE and Simon Weston. The main boardroom is named after Peter Laburn who is one of the company’s key influencers.
The 5,300 sq ft self-contained workspace has two storeys. In addition to standard office features, Workspace Design & Build also installed a pool table, classic arcade machine and a barista-style coffee vender.
Contributing to the overall spacious feel, Workspace installed a rather unique suspended ceiling with industrial lights. An inside pergola was also positioned within the space to ‘bring the outside in’.
The full fit out was completed in nine weeks, in time for the DealTrak team to move in on April 18, 2017.
