Our continued positive relationship with MHBC Cumming has resulted in the desired refurbishment of several floors at City Tower, Manchester. This full floor CAT A refurb was intended to cater for London School of Commerce.
CAT A Refubishment
The strip out element of this project included removal and disposal of some existing carpet flooring to allow for new finishes to modernise the space. To cater for the number of students that will be studying there, we proposed some partitions to split up the place into appropriate spaces. As a result, we created 4no Classrooms, 1no Library, 1no Lecture Room and 2no admin/marketing rooms. Due to the expected increase in occupancy levels on the floor, we were instructed to install a new AHU to ensure compliance in air levels. Other AC modifications include installing new FCU’s to all cellular offices. Further partitioning included wide stud partitions to create the kitchen/dining area – with the addition of glazed partition to allow light into the space. Following the strip out of the flooring, we installed timber effect vinyl flooring in the reception/dining area in herringbone style. We also fitted a bespoke laminate reception desk along with hanging pendants at the entrance.
