Workspace shortlisted for FOUR Inspired Spaces North Awards

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for not just one, but four of our Manchester projects in the Inspired Spaces North 2018. The acknowledgment comes from Prolific North and the award praises inspirational office design and spaces.
The Workspace projects shortlisted include: Oxford House, Canada House, The Treehouse Suite, and Thoughtworks at Federation House.
In association with Active Profile and Prolific North, The Inspired Spaces North Awards have partnered with Sheila Bird Group for its second year of creative space hunting, and is supported by Zut Media, GVA and Windmill Green.
Over the last month, a lengthy judging session considered a variety of high-quality entries from across Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Wetherby and everywhere in between. There was some very tough competition, but we’re delighted to be considered as winners across four projects.
Find out a little bit more about each individual project below:

Our work:

Oxford House
Working alongside Bruntwood, we were asked to deliver a high-quality technologically advanced co-working meeting space at the gateway to the corridors of the University of Manchester. From double-height ceilings with elevated meeting rooms that convey a sense of visibility to the dual aspect entrance connecting Manchester Science Park and the University of Manchester, this space offers high-quality, multi-functional workspace to suit business needs.

Canada House
Our work on the Canada House project was sympathetic to the age of the building, ensuring we retained the heritage of the building whilst making the space attractive to contemporary businesses. Our team designed and created a co-working space on the first, second and third floors, and gave all corridors, stairwells and communal areas the face-lifts needed to compete with city-centre office spaces.

Buffalo 7- The Tree House Suite
The brief for this project was to provide a modern working environment based around the features of the beautiful listed building on Portland Street. The finished piece was visually stunning, with a mezzanine floor, spiral staircase and a fantastic ‘activity-based workspace’ treehouse incorporated into the existing features.

Thoughtworks
Our designs for Thoughtworks’ Federation House incorporated bespoke furniture solutions to split the space sympathetically, creating a productive, effective and relaxed open office environment using hard and soft materials to assist in sound absorption and encouraging a more modern, creative feel.

And now we need you!
We are extremely proud of our team’s work across all these projects and are truly honoured to be shortlisted in this year’s Inspired Spaces North 2018.
Now that the shortlist has been announced, the public votes will kick off to whittle down the nominations. These top 10 workspaces will be announced finally at the November wrap party 2018!
So, we need your vote (and we’ll remind you closer to the time!)
