The 27-year-old will oversee contracts across a number of clients, as the firm continues its growth and increases its hold on the fit out market.

Peter, from Salford, will be responsible for managing project costs, working closely with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure best value is achieved.

It comes after the firm almost doubled its headcount to 16 recently, having won multiple contracts in Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.

The Monton resident, previously a quantity surveyor at Bruntwood, said: “It’s nice to be rewarded by Managing Director Russell Davis and Finance Director David Barfield.

“I’m also very proud to be a director at 27. It’s just such a great opportunity as Workspace is expanding and growing every day.

“Before Workspace I had spent a few years travelling, so it’s a position that I was not expecting to arise, so early in my career.

“To now get this position is really exciting as it’s come at a good time for me personally and for the company as it continues to grow and gain market share”

Peter, a former Eccles College student who graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from Salford University, added: “We have done a lot of work for Bruntwood over the past 10 years, but are now partnering with other property professionals in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and London.

“I relish the opportunity to integrate my current roles and skills with that of the managerial responsibilities but it’s great to have the chance and be part of the success story of Workspace. It’s a very reactive role and I can’t wait to get started.”

Workspace Managing Director Russell Davis added: “Peter’s appointment is great for us as a business. He will add youth, enthusiasm and knowledge, and I’m personally very pleased as he is a great asset to the board.”
