Reception refurbishment and common parts
In the heart of the city, this fully occupied building was ready for a full refurbishment in the reception area, common parts throughout 9 floors and the basement. The design was luxurious with a boutique feel, something which would do this prominent building the justice it deserved.
The 9 floors, home to many business’, experienced a full refurbishment to the communal stairways and lobbies, including WCs, on each floor – all fitted with individual vanity units. An accessible shower was also installed on the first floor. To achieve that luxury feel, we incorporated brass fittings throughout the space, from door handles to tread inserts on the stairs. The choice of colours chosen enhanced this look and feel – the combination and contrast between Poets Bloom pink and Racing green paint is a unique feature. Hesket green tiles were fitted to the lift elevations to give the space a boutique, classy vibe.
The reception area now boasts a feature grid shelving system with eye-catching artificial plants, a floating bench with bespoke cushions, custom made perforated panels and timber feature wall. This area has a very high footfall so it was important that the finish could create impact on entry. One of the ways we achieved this is by installing unique joinery throughout, such as the reception desk. In the basement area, all floors, walls and steels were decorated with the same Poets Bloom pink, and a brand new shower facility was built, which comprises of Dyson hairdryers, heated towel rails and benches. Just outside the shower room is a cycle store enclosed by secure cage system, with adjacent numbered storage lockers.
